Tawau Hills Park, 24 km northwest of Tawau, safeguards water for Tawau Town and the Semporna Peninsula. Spanning 27,972 hectares, it’s the origin of 7 major rivers, with the Tawau River forming deepwater pools and waterfalls, including Table Waterfall. The park is surrounded by oil palm, rubber, and cocoa plantations, with hilly terrain showcasing Gunung Magdalena (1310 meters) and Gunung Lucia (1201 meters).
